Did anyone here actually quit your day job to work online full time?

I didn't exactly quit my day job to start an online business but I did quit my day job and at that time I said I would never work for anyone again and have been my own boss since. I am so glad I did and just wish I had the nerve to do it years earlier. Have you been there and done that yet?

You are your own boss doing what? I'm curious. I would love to have a job where I could be my own boss, that would be great. I have never quit a job, but it would be nice to have something where I could decide what hours I wanted/needed to work and where I wouldn't have to worry if I was sick that the boss was going to sack me, lol.

I don't advise people quit their day job, it just turned out that I was as fed up as I was willing to get. My main business is website design and search engine optimization instruction. I don't go for big bucks from just one source. I enjoy multiple streams of income and to me that is the best way to prepare for being your own boss. Don't start with one thing that could stop and leave you stranded and broke. Income stream #1. I create websites for clients and teach them how to create content that is keyword focused for targeted traffic. This not only helps my clients earn more they also save money because they don't have to pay me big bucks to create their content. Income stream #2. My clients need to have their websites hosted so I also host all but one client so that gives me an extra stream of income over the website design. Income stream #3. I also create web graphics, banners and header graphics. Income stream #4. I also have websites of my own that I promote myself and affiliate programs. Income stream #5. I sell ebooks on just about any subject going and I create guides to help people learn at their own speed. These guides are for computer software like Photoshop guides and Microsoft Office guides. Quick guides that you can study over and over at your own pace. I hope that gives you an idea. The sky is no longer the limit you have to be focused.

Qutting your job isn't a good thing unless you are earning more than you were making at your job and you need to be sure you have insurance and medical. Starting an online business can be done fairly easy. I am putting a web page together that you can find in my profile. Take a look at the site and then if you like it book mark it and come back each day to see what I add to help others earn online. It is great fun working from my home office but I don't want others thinking it is a good move to just up and quit that day job. :)

Yes, my husband quit his job with the City to take on his online career as a small business owner in 2003. His stress level has cut in half. It has been a blessing for him also as far as calling his own hours and being mobile. It was scary for our family at first, especially when it came to health benefits. Fortunately, we were able to get reasonable health care and now dental pretty easily. We're still working on the Retirement though, but having more control over your money (accruing the interest instead of IRS) has been a relief to us. Speaking of Reasonable Dental....if you are looking for an individual or family plan that covers you fairly well, message me and I'll send you the info. they provide plans all over the USA.

I didn't exactly quit my day job either because I didn't have one. Divorce left me without an income (I had been a stay at home mom) so I started looking for something to do online. That was 10 years ago and I've never worked for anyone but myself since.

Well I don't want you to quit your day job and I don't think I was too brave at all. I was just so ticked at being abused finacially for my lack of education that I refused to work for anyone else. My real suggestion is to learn to earn online, grow your business until you have all expenses, including health insurance, covered so that you don't have to live with the stress of not earning enough.

I quit my job to stay at home and take care of my grand daughter. I do some things on line to earn money. I wouldn't trade spending time with my grand daughter for anything. I love it.
