I intend to speed up and get to 500 posts as quick as i can although i cant always find discussions i want to reply to anyone got any tips?
Reason for this is im sick and tired icant use copy and paste, i use copy and paste a lot and icant even put in long url's at the moment without having to type them out, its really annoying they should lower it to a lesser amount it took me quite a while to get to where i am now on the post number things.
I have lost several posts because they havent gone in (bloody hope this one does lol) and i have to retype them out basically because of a problem with mylot website somewhere along the lines i dont have a problem with any other site.
I would like to see the whole setup here revised to be honest i think if it was revised it would be a lot more efficient and easyer to navigate into sections you want to look in, theres lots of free forum software out there that isnt too hard to use surely they can find something better or even pay someone to do it.
Sorry to rant on but im used to forums and message boards that run smoothly and its easy for me to type in things and possibly copy and paste a few references to help people, i wouldnt purpousy copy and paste a lot of inforrmation from another site to up my post count or rating or anything its mainly URL's especially when theyre long and got characters and different letters and numbers in them.

You make some good points. I believe that myLot is trying to avoid members using the copy and paste to fill discussions with content that the member did not actually develop themselves.
I look forward to using the copy and paste because that is how I operate on forums and such. I write out the content elsewhere that I can spell check it (like a gmail compose screen). That way I have the added benefit of the content being saved-able in case of a browser problem. I spell check it there, then I copy and paste it into the target location. But with myLot that is not an option . . . yet.

i always use copy and paste on a daily basis it makes things a lot easier, i can see your point as to why they would do this, hopefully today ican spend a few hours on here and build up my posts to get closer to that 500 mark lol its going to be a challenge but if i can post almost 20k posts on another forum in 2 years anything is possible. wish iwas paid for that though iwould be loaded lmao!

Hi Jeff, this may be of some help to you, if your are using IE for when you are on myLot and you have the updated IE 7 you can add a spell checker with you can use when posting in forums such as this. All you have to do is go to tools, then manage add ons, then find more add ons, the one you are looking for is ieSpell, hope this is of some help.
As for the original discussion yes it can be rather annoying I too have had replies that haven't gone in and I have had to start from scratch again, what I tend to do now is if I am making a slightly longer reply I copy it just incase so that if I do lose it I can paste it elsewhere and just have to retype it but at least I have it there so I don't forget any of what I wanted to put.
