Why do kids act like brats sometimes?

My husband and I have a one year old and at times she is horrible with the bitting and screaming. She thinks that if she doesn't get what she wants she just lets out the biggest scream EVER. I wish there was something that I could do but I have no idea on what to do. Any ideas?

It does sound like she is getting an attitude early,unfortunatly,there is not much you can do at this age but try time out,put her in her crib and let her yell herself to sleep.once she reaches 18 months or a bit older,then you can disipline a bit more.
just be sure it is a tantrum.

Welcome to parenthood. It only gets worse. Have you tried time outs, or sitting in the naughty chair. If you think it is tough now, just wait until the terrible twos come along. I don't want to scare you, actually enjoy the time now with your little one, they do grow up lightning fast.

Well some kids act like brats because they are spoiled other kids act like brats because they are treated like them or think that since other kids do it they can do it and i dont think like that i think it is cuz they think they can get their way liewk that and get away with it u kno
