where do you go to...? To a place, or to someone close to you? I go to a chapel or a church nearby, to be with this place for a long time and wait for myself to have some upliftment. How about you?

When I was still on my college years when I was upset or I want to unwind I go to break water in luneta and spend time under the shaded coconut tree. But when I feel really like to burst and cry I really do visit a congregation of nuns wherein I am a volunteer and seeks advice and cried till I can. When I go out of the convent after the talk with my friends who are all nuns my spirit is uplifted and somewhat I became more stronger to face the problem.

Hi, maribel, sure you would feel light and relieved after going to a convent like. How I wish I could go a similar place like that but there's no one near this place, so church is the only place I could find peace and solace. A chapel or a church had always been a place for me to be at peace with all the oddities..

It depends on the situation. If I'm just upset and need to 'get away' then I will drive to somewhere quite and peaceful so I can think, cry, pray. I've done this in the past and I'll sit in my car by our lake for a few hours until I have talked myself through my problem. If I'm having a crisis of some sort that I know I can not get myself out of - then I will call my father and talk to him. He always seems to know the right things to say to make me feel better or help me out of my situation. Alot of the time, I'll just wait until everyone is asleep and I will go into my office and pray with a whole lot of crying. It seems to cleanse my problems from me and helps alot. Luckily, I haven't been in these situations in awhile.

Thanks for the response, I'm glad you're not in this kind of sitution lately. I'm halfway through it now with the help of prayers and friends.

When I lived in Hawaii, I would just drive to the most peaceful place of the ocean's shoreline and just sit there with my eyes closed listening to the waves crash. Now that I am in Kansas...I go to the lake and sit at the dock and do the same thing. There has always been something about listening to the water that just calms me down and helps me think things through.
