Collection of Books

Do you have a collection of books you have had for a long time and are particularly fond of. I started reading Nancy Drew books when I was young and have the complete original series I would not part with. Do collect certain authors or types of books?

I have a large collection of books at my home.this is a collection from various authors and in all, there are about 1500 books with me.i take care of my books like jewels and preserve it verywell.

I have several collections I've been keeping since high school and college. My very first collection was the original Lord of the Rings trilogy when I was still in grade school. Techno-thrillers and horror are among my favorite genres, and as such I'm really into Tom Clancy and Stephen King. I have all of Clancy's Jack Ryan series and I've pretty much collected all but a few of Stephen King's works. I plan on starting with Robert Jordan, Anne Rice, and maybe the Left Behind series.

I have most of the Xanth series by Piers Anthony. I don't have the more recently only due to cost but I have the first 20 I think, lost count. I also have the full series of the Incarnations of Immortality by him. I have the Deed of Pakesenarrion by Elizabeth Moon and the Donovan Series by Nora Roberts. I believe I have all the vampire series by Anne Rice but I need to check to make sure I haven't missed any lately. Yeah I'd say I collect a few authors and series.

I do have collections. I have some from when I was younger that I am saving for my daughters. I usually collect my books by authors. As far as grown up books I think I have collected about 6 or so authors.

Yes i did. I used to collect sweet valley twins and sweet valley high 15 years ago.
I also love Sweet dreams.Right now im collecting books of Nicholas sparks and danielle steel.

i collect louis l'amour books, all of his works, i have the lists and i get a book or two each time i go to a bookstore. i stumbled on his "Walking Drum" work and i fell in love with it. i intend to get every book he wrote.
i love series, i love the thought of different possibilities, i love the thought of room for change... =)
i love harry potter, lord of the rings, wheel of time, chronicles of narnia, dragon lance, etc...
yep, i used to read nancy drew books, i do wish to have a collection of them for my younger cousins
i also love classics, twain, dickens, the brontes, austen, love to have all of their works
