Why should we want a handicapped child to live when he will most probably be unhappy?

I think you'd better define what you mean by 'handicapped'. I'm handicapped, and I have a great life. Sure, I can't do all the things everyone else can do and yes, I'm in a lot of pain, but there are ways around both of those. I have hobbies that don't strain me and I have holistic medical routines to manage my pain. I don't feel unhappy about anything in my life that relates to my handicap. Being physically or mentally challenged doesn't mean someone's going to be miserable.

That's true. Life is a gift and people did not ask to be born in such a way. A relative of mine is also handicapped but she makes the best of her life, with full family support and she's now a happy parent herself. The best thing is to help make better of life, not denying it. One who thinks that way should be ashamed.

who says that all handicapped are unhappy?
who are those parents who do not want to see thier child, and just let them die just because they are handicapped..?
for me, they still deserve to live.. God gave you that angel with broken wings for you to take care.. God gave him to you because He knows you can take care of him well and give him his needs.. remember helen keller? blind and deaf at the same time.. who would expect that she could be a great poet, a great speaker, and a great person who inspires half the population of the world?

He will be more unhappy if you chose not to let him live! Its your perception not his life that will make things unhappy. It's his' life that makes him happy not your perception that will hider his right to be happy. If people will think like you do then you're the ones responsible making them unhappy. Anyhow happiness cannot be defined without loneliness. Got it?
