Have you ever been to Graceland ? What was it like ? If you have not been as an Elvis fan would you like to ? I never been but I heard it is a wonderful experience. I just wish I could go with someone who enjoys ELVIS as much as I do.

Yep, I've been to Graceland twice. Think my last time was in 2000 or 2001. I'm having a brain fart about this lol. It was really cool, although our hotel wasn located in downtown Memphis. Downtown on Beale Street is awesome. The blues music is incredible. At the time Graceland didn't have the hotel across the street. It was definitely an interesting trip both times and each time I went there, there was different stuff on display. Which was cool cause I didn't feel like I was seeing the same thing over again. Elvis' taste in color and decoration were definitely over the top. Great to look at but not sure if I'd like to look at it every day hehe. My favorite room was the showroom with most of his jumpsuits. Its amazing how shiny those things are hehe. I really wish though I could have gotten good quality pictures from my trips. You're not allowed to use a flash in Graceland as the flashes over time make the memorabilia color fade. I didn't have a digital camera at the time:( The Lisa Marie plane was really interesting and I'd love the auto and motorcycle museum. I love the classic cars and Elvis' were definitely over the top. Luckily my mom is an Elvis fan. She's not as obsessed as I am. I started playing guitar because of Elvis. I think it should be the other way around I'm 22 and my moms 61 she should be the one obsessed, but when she gets sick of listening to Elvis I blame her because she's the one that originally let me listen to her 45rpms hehe. Love to chat:) -Stephanie

I have never been to Graceland. I would love too. I loved Elvis, and still do. He was the King, and always will be in my heart and many Americans.

I don't consider myself to be an Elvis Fan., but i did go to Graceland a couple of years ago. It was amazing. I think everyone in the world should see it once. He was an amazing artist. The fact that they left everything the way it was-made it all the more special. Even the "Lisa Marie Plane" was awesome. I can't even explain how great it was. YOu should definitley go there if you ever get the chance. Can you imagine for just one moment what it would have been to live his life? Incredible!

My dad, who's name was Cleo McClees, was friends with Elvis's Uncle Vester. As a child, my sister and brother spent many hours at Graceland, rather running around in the back yard, running through the back door or playing on a rainy day, Monopoly on the dining room table with the kids of other parents there. I swore I would never visit Graceland because I was afraid it would not be the aame. Well, I was in Memphis two years ago and thought, "How can I be in Mamphis, and not go to Graceland." Seriously, I wish I hadn't. The set up downstairs is how I remember it. Completely. The living room is done in a different decor than it was in the '70's. The dining room has to be a different decor because it I remember well, something is off. And when I went in the kitchen I almost cried. No back door. This was not Graceland. But considering it's been what, almost 30 years, I think they've done a dang good job with it's preservation. Oh, one thing, the stairway is exactly the same!!

I really want to go to Graceland on my honeymoon. Originally I wanted to be married in Memphis but my fiance doesn't agree so we've decided to honeymoon there instead. and stateroad-if you live in the US just go! I wish I lived there so I could travel to Graceland easily. But I'm in Australia so it's going to take me ages to finally get there!
