Would you like/care to be the first or the top 50, or 100?

There are so many discussions created on my Lot every single second. Each gets 1, 2, 50, 100 + responses. My question is, if you were to answer a discussion, do you prefer to be the first one or those at the top 100+? I prefer to be on the top 10 because I want my response to be read, I mean we cannot deny the fact that if you're on the top 100 your post will not be given that much attention. But on my part, I rate the answers on my discussion everytime I go back to read them.

At least the top ten .. but my favorite place is 3rd when you pull up the page its right in view so ...thats the best to me

Yup at least the first page, because not everyone would care to view the NEXT button. Only the one who started the discussion.

I find that since I'm so shy, sometimes I like being near the end of the answers. I do feel that if one is on the front page that one might get more plusses from other users, which is wonderful. But you also might get more negative attention, as well. So I really don't know what is best. I used to think that being at the front was the best because it might get me more ratings, but then my star rating dropped and I still can't get it back up and I honestly don't understand why. So I might as well go back to lurking at the end of long discussion topics. LOL. Well, when I can. Honestly, I just try to stick mostly to my friend's discussions lately, anyway, and I guess that I am on the front or second page of more of those than I might be if I was replying only to hot topics.

I think it is also one of the advantages of being in the top 10, being rated as + responses by other users abd also by the one who started the discussion.

yep. it's also good when you are the very first one to answer on a discussion. most likely, you'll get to have people reacting on your response more than when you're in anotehr page.

I like being in the top 10 as well. If I see I am so late responding I will be lost in the posts, I just don't bother for I know most of the time, I will be lucky they will read it. I like the idea my work is being read and not lost in the pile, you know. Besides, after 10 posts, we know for sure the author has received all the points they are going to get for that discussion, so I know I am not hurting them at that point by passing it up.

But sometimes discussions or responses written at the last are not read by all. But it is also good if you have participation in any discussion that you want to answer.

I only answer if it's interesting or within my interests. Sometimes I answer based on experiences or others that I know of.
The ratings well what can I do, I guess at least I got paid :)

i usually don't care what number my response will be on a specific discussion. for as long as i am able to say what i wanna say, then i'd feel better about it.
however, it's always different when your response on the first page. people can just response to it fast since they can easily get access to it. but nevertheless, i don't care so much about it.

I like to be on the first page at least so that I can refer back to my response easily. I have found the way to do it. Simply go to the zero response section and respond to them and you are the first or at least on the first page. You also find good discussions on the zero response page.

I prefer to be in the top ten; but there are times, depending on the questions and previous answers, where I will still respond higher up.

i prefer to be on the first or 2nd page, but if I am interested in replying, I do not care what # I am. Sometimes if I am not to interested in a topic I will not even bother with it if it has alot of responses. If I am very interested I will no matter how many and read the 1st,2nd, then a couple in the middle, and the last page then post my reply.I wish I could say I read every single reply to every discussion I reply to but, I am sorry I do not care to read 100 replies plus the replies to those.I usually readas many as I can though.
I also rate every response no matter how many I get, and answer to as many as I have time for at the time. I may go back later and reply to the ones I missed if they are not spam, that is!

I would love to be the first top 4 of the discussion. Definitely, i would want my responses to be read. After typing a response with my heart's truth, i hope that everyone will read my respones. If it is favorable, i would want them to rate my responses. those lying in the 6th post onwards wont be read by readers usually, unless they are exceptionally interested in it.
Well, but i still like giving respones to earn the best response if possible from the user, that is because i believe that every response i give are of quality and i believe that the poster will make wise decisions in giving the right best responses to the person who devoted his time and efforts in giving his or her best opinion. Being the first few definitely have the edge of getting read. That depends on our luck at times too.

I would prefer either to be 1-10 or one in the last ten, thats hwre yu have more chances of being noticed
