Art is one of my passions, and it is a nice way for me to make extra money to help feed my family. Your feedback is very helpful for me to know if my pictures will look good as a greeting card. Is this a picture you would like to give or receive as a greeting card, and why or why not? If you were to send this as a greeting card, to whom would you send it, and congratulations, etc.)? Again, your feedback is very much appreciated!

Your picture is lovely. It will sell I am sure as a greeting card. I would like to give or receive it as it is so pretty. I would use it for almost anything.
I am an artist. I worked at Disney World as a silhouette artist.
Go look at my website: www.mgcreativearts.com
Let me know if I can help you in any way. Do you have any training in art? What mediums have you used?

I am glad you responded, and thanks for the kind feedback! I have already looked at your website and like the watercolors very much. I was also very impressed with the silhouette art (that must take patience!) If you are interested, I strongly suggest that you look into contacting Richard at thecardartists.com and see about having your watercolors sold as greeting cards, I think they would make excellent cards. Thecardartists.com is a new site, so I cannot say that it would replace your income at this point, but the more talented artists who are on it, the more exposure we will all get!
By the way, I just have high school and a semester of college art education (before I switched majors.) I have been scribbling things on paper my entire life as a hobby, and truly hope I can spend my later years supporting my family through painting. Watercolor is my favorite medium by far, but sometimes I will paint in acrylic. Were you yourself trained in college?

I took another look at your site and answered my own question- LA Trade Tech College and Traphagen Fashion Institute in NY. Anyway, your paintings are great!

Great painting. I'd like it better if it was some kind of raptor instead of an airplane. Unless , of course, the plane was an F-22 RAPTOR! Then you could have a raptor and an airplane.
You had not posted in a long time and I deleted you as a friend because I thought you left myLot. Since you are back I sent a new request. Thanks.

Thanks for the response-- a bird would have been a good substitute as well, yet for some reason I like the dynamic of man and nature. I just accepted your friend request again. I got sidetracked, but am glad to be back.

hi my friend, i loved your response to my topic. you really explained beautifully. thanks for making me your friend. if you had not i would myself has sent you a friendship request.
and yessssss
its really a beautiful picture. bcz the happy faces of you and the little baby who is the main object (as i think) for this picture are clearly visible and also the angle from which the picture has taken is good. its really a good pic and i would really like to send it to a friend who is going to be a father very soon. but the pic might be more beautiful if you were wearing a dark colored T shirt bcz it will make more contrast with the fair color of you and your baby's faces making them more visible.

Andrew I love this painting. It just reminds me of laying down in a park and just watching life go by with all its beauties, and it would be great to give as a card because it would remind people of that peacefulness. I would send this to just about anybody for almost any reason. It is such a good visual for so many occasions. Hope this helps

Thank you for the nice comment! I saw your profile- did you do the painting on it? It is nice.
I am not sure what you mean by "spot painting."
I love the way oils look, but don't have the patience to paint with them. They take to long to dry, and I don't like to clean up after painting in oils. I think they make for amazing works of art though, and respect artists who use that medium.

Thank you for your kind comment, and congratulations on your new grandchild! It's amazing how much babies are little "mini-mes!" If in the future, you want a custom watercolor painting done of your new granchild (maybe as a unique gift for your daughter), then I would be happy to paint one, using a photo as a reference. They are pretty inexpensive as far as art goes - $75-$125.
You can visit my website at www.mesart.com/agillet27 if you want to see more of my art, and I always welcome your feedback.
Best regards!

I find it to be very soothing. It could be sent to anyone that may be traveling, a have a nice trip, will miss you etc, card. But it kind of reminds me of when I was a little girl, laying on the grass, looking up through the tree branches and watching planes go by, yes very soothing.
