Today i decided i would ring the local occasional child care centre and see if they could help me with getting into the child care field, Well they asked me to come down straight away to meet them and i did, It went well and now depending on my police check i will now be working 5 hours every thursday in the toddlers room, The ladies were super nice and very desperate to get an assistant as they are trailing this new longer hours for thursday and because there is 25 children they needed an extra person, i had no idea they needed someone i just thought i would ring and see if they could help me! Although it isnt paid work i am excited, and they can also help me with getting into a child care course faster and cheaper because i will be already working in the field.

well, I'm happy for you to take such a challenging learning experience! I must ask why there is no pay involved for you though? It's a rewarding job but wh is it volunteer? Good luck. And it takes a special a pateint person like you to do this work. Have fun!
