i do! i guess its part of our culture. and this will never be erased from our everyday lives. of course we still eat them since we know for ourselves that they are still good to eat. why would we eat something spoiled, right? ^_^

Oh! yes. I try not to have leftovers but on Spaghetti night I always made extra because everyone here loves it warmed over for the next few days. We also have left overs from roasts and I try to make it stretch for a few meals. We make sandwiches to the next day. Economical that way. When I do casseroles I always make a huge pan and it is so good reheated.

Yeah I do because sometimes just like the other one said it is much more tastier for some foods. You'll just reheat it then eat it. A lot of people who do this are those in the city because they have no time for cooking sometimes if they are too busy and just reheat left overs again.

Yes, we used to keep the leftovers in the fridge. The next day we took them out and cooked with mustard plants added with some salted sour plums. It's very appetising and delicious. But 3 years ago I got goitre problem, doctor advised me not to take those foods left over night coz they were oxidised and harmful esp. to the patient. Since then I stop taking any leftovers.

Yes we do. I oftentimes cook more than what we can consume for a single meal, since we keep it ready if any visitor will drop by we have something to offer in the table. It's been a tradition to us, offering the visitor some food or we send to our neighbors like exchanging cuisines. And if it stilluntouched, I put in the fridge and consume it the next day. It's a bad habit throwing excess food. A lot of people are hungry and even a single grain of rice or clean water to drink are things they wish they have.

Yes we eat left over food and quite often if were making something that's quite versatile like a chilli we make a big batch of it so we can have it for a couple of days. We usually have it with something different each day so that we don't get too bored, maybe with rice one day, and in wraps or on a jacket potato another day. It's a great way to save time and energy. The one thing we never reheat though is chicken, we've had a few friends who have given themselves food poisoning through not properly reheating their chicken, so if we have some of that left over we usually have it cold with a salad or something.

I never throw food away, I agree it is a shame to throw it out , when there are millions around the world starving with no option to throw anything away. There are times when I think how so many people do throw away leftovers I mean do they not think of the people who are starving, and is there a way to fly all the leftovers to them, alreaady cooked good food . Healthy ,nutricious food that are gone to waste . Especially when we watch these people die everyday WHAT A SHAME!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, I will eat leftovers from the day before. But, I will change it around. If I made chicken roasted, and had left overs. Then I would take it and chop it into pieces and mix it with pasta and a sause or rice and add veggies.

Some foods are certainly better the second time around - like italian food, soups, etc. Some things don't always sit well, but I hate wasting food!

As an average living family, we always do those. I myself sometimes re-create it but not to ruin it's taste. For example are those of left-over fried porkchops, I convert it by making it into "bistek tagalog." Same goes for fried fish, I try to make it into "escabeche."
Now, isn't that a fun and healthy way of less expensive cookings!;)

Sometimes I tend to cook too much for one meal which leaves us eating leftovers the day after.
I don't particularly like eating leftovers but why waste food when others don't have them?
So there you go... we eat leftovers though sometimes my partner, when in the mood, is really good at making yesterday's meal into something new by adding other ingredients to make it special.

i and my family also do the same thing. they never through away the leftover food because we donn't get food for free. if someone have to invest money for it then why should he throw that which is worth valuable. we owe for that.

I do that almost everyday but people have been telling me it's not good to eat certain foods which are kept overnitght, like vegetable dishes which tend to undergo chemical changes faster and to reheat again probably destroys all the nutrients. Also, there was a period when I fell ill due to eating leftovers too frequently. Now, I only keep leftovers which do not spoil so easily. Like you I feel bad to throw away unfinished food.
