When I'm depressed I make my husband watch the kids and I go for a long walk on a wooden trail by a lake. The smell of woods literally makes my heart rate drop and I feel all sorts of relaxed in no time. I love turning to nature.
Medically you can try a supplement called St. John's Wort as it is supposed to lighten your mood naturally.
When all else fails I'm not above a Friendly's sundae! lol

I have the same problem only it takes me a little longer to overcome it unfortunately. It usually takes around 4 days to get motivated again. My kids do real good during these times and help out alot. Thankfully these episodes don't happen nearly as often as they used to. My doctor has finally put me on the right medication and I'm doing much better now in dealing with life in general.

Have a rest. Take a day or two for yourself. A breather gets you refreshed. This thing happens to everybody. Others will let it pass by staying home, away from all the cares of the world, still others deal with it by spending sometime in the beach or by getting in contact with mother nature by talking to some plants and trees. Find out for yourself what shall perk you up once again. It might be just by paying a visit to a love one you haven't seen for sometime already.

when i can't bear it anymore, i weep. isometimes i talk with somebody i do not know online.maybe i will say something to him or her. sometimes i keep my diary to relieve my stress, itis also a good way.
