Hey! I'm also from Halifax Nova Scotia! I don't live there anymore, but spent the first 23 years of my life there.

Born in South porcupine Ontario. raised in the Ottawa Valley, and now live in Calgary . I hate Calgary its nowhere as friendly as the rest of the country! Hoping to move to Victoria BC soon. Except for Calgary, I think Canada is one of the best places to live ever!

I'd never heard that about Calgary. Nice to know. I thought with everything booming so well out there they would have nothing to be miserable about. I agree, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else but Canada!
BTW here's a link of interest to Canadians.

I was born and raised in Victoria BC. I drive and own a cab in this city and drove many a night shift. It is a great city, it is beautiful and the flowers are great. We have rules about trees because nut job foreigners come here buy property and knock down all the trees so they can build monster houses and god forbid the trees block the view. Then they go back to America or somewhere worse and leave there ugly uninhabited homes empty. Yes we have street people and crime but it is nothing like Vancouver or other big cities. I am a woman and drove cab for 10 years on the night shift, I was never robbed, never feared for my life.
Victoria is a great city and I take offense to people who don't even live here trashing the city. As to the park called the Oak bay Native Plant garden across from the now gone Oak Bay Beach Hotel, it is a lovely little park that has recently been upgraded, they are not weeds. If you had any knowledge of the plants that are native to this part of the country you would see the beauty of the place.
Let me guess you are one of those people that think we need a bridge to the mainland...
Anyhow I am from Victoria BC and it is a great city and it is nice to hear from other Canadians...

as u know at the left side of your profile there's a link 'users by location'. You can see users from CANADA. I think this will help you to find friends with the same country you had. I hope this will help..

That's not the point though. I'm trying to get the Canucks to make some noise! :D
Thanks for pointing that out though. I never noticed that.
