I love reading books and I just finished one that I could just not put down. The title is: Baby Steps by Karen Templeton. An excellent story. There are two main characters that the story surrounds with a few of there friends thrown in for good measure. The shy store owners name is Dana Malone and you have a handsome realtor whose name is C.J. Turner. Her cousin has always been one who does things without thinking and her name is Trish. There is a long period of time and no one knows where she is and then all of a sudden Dana gets a call from her and asks if she can come by later. She has been out of town for quite some time and no one knew where she was. Dana says yes and wonders why she is contacting her. Well, the time comes and goes and a baby materalizes at her doorstep and there is no Trish any where to be found. A note left in the basket is all there is. The story is getting more interesting page by page. On the birth certificate is the fathers name C.J. Turner. Now this is a man who claims not to want commitment. Of course, Dana met C.J. before this happened through looking for a new store location for her store and that is when she met C.J. He has made it quite evident that he is not interested in any commitments. They get together looking at different store sites and the vibes are there between them. Well, when Dana sees the birth certificate with C.J. Turner named as the father things start to happening. You have to read it. It is a very good book. I had never read any books by this author but I will now.

Hi sunshine lady. Thanks for your suggestion. I would try to get hold of a copy and read it myself. It sounds like a great suspense. :)

Excellent book. It is a cross between a suspense and a romance. The whole story is woven together excellently. I love to read and am always on the look out for good books. I don't have just one kind of book but a variety of different types. I hope you like this story when you get ahold of it.

It is kind of hard to recommend a book when I don't know what your
interest is...but I would have to say once you have read any book
written by Robin Cook you will be hooked on reading anything he
writes. Before he became a prize winning author he was a physician.
So most of his books deal with things of this nature.
Another good author is James Patterson, if you have never read any of
his books try reading Mary, Mary for a surprise ending.
If you like to read about attorneys and law I
would suggest John Grisham and last but not least Stephen King.
He is one of the best, not to mention he is the best known when it
to fiction.
Happy reading
Oh and if you want a good scare read "The Sisterhood"

If you are familiar with "THE NOTEBOOK" and "MESSAGE IN THE BOTTLE" by New York bestseller author Nicholas Sparks then I gladly endorse this awesome pocketbook " THE WEDDING" this is the follow-up to the sequel of the "THE NOTEBOOK".

I see you've read "Tuesdays With Morrie" and "The Five People You Meet In Heaven", so I'll recommend books in the same vein. Paolo Coelho comes to mind first, so I highly recommend you take a look at his body of work. I've read a book or two from his work. His style is simple and easy to read, but don't be fooled; he wraps up a lot of meaningful things in his words. I'm sure you'll enjoy reading his works. :)

try reading jhumpa lahiri's 'the namesake.' it is wonderfully written and i'd recommend it anytime. you can also try 'the time traveller's wife' by audrey niffenegger. it's a different kind of love story, very unique plot yet i enjoyed reading it a lot.

The series of books I could not put down and would recommend to you starts with "The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency" by Alexander McCall Smith. Don't be misled by the title - it's not just a detective story - it's set in Botswana and the heroine is someone with good humour. I guarantee its a book you won't be able to put down adn will want to continue with the series.

The Alchemist is very good. I second that motion. Also, The Shadow of the Wind, by Carlos Ruis Zafon. Kind of like The Name of the Rose, but set in 1920s Spain. Love and loss, arson, and books. Very good.
