Ok, Just watching the news a lady stopped at McDonalds this morning and got a breakfast sandwich no meat just egg, cheese. She took a bite, then on the second she felt something hard, she thought oh it's a bone but remebered it didnt have meat in it so she went to take another bite and noticed the razor. She was not hurt or anything, she called the police, and they did an investiagation and found that it was an accident. Someone had laid a razor used to cut open boxes on the top shelf by the food prep and it must of feel. She said the company was working with the police and she just wanted an apology, and a change in policy to prevent it from happening again. What would you do? I think that I would feel the same way that she did, and expect the same.

I would certainly want an apology and to be compensated for the price of the meal. And I would want the person that left the razor blade there fired for endangering me.
I know a lot of people would be screaming SUE, but since she didn't actually suffer any harm, I think that would be wrong and greedy. But I would certainly never eat at that place again!

Yeah I agree with you in that I would have done the saume as she did. But you know now that it is out a lawyer will get ahold of her and scream law suit people are so eager to sue now a days that accidents such as this do not get over looked. Watch and you will see that listed soon.

Like someone else already said, I am surprised that there is not a lawsuit. You sure she just wants an apology. LOL. well what do you expect from these fast food places. yeah the kids should be more careful, but you know that these kids do not care, they are in a hurry. I cannot even remember the last time I got eye contact with the employees, a smile and a sincere thank you for your order. Maybe the woman planted it there herself. If it were me, for one I would not have taken a second bite and I would want my money back.

She's lucky she didn't get hurt. What if she did? It's a razor, if you tell me how much damage can be done. If I were in her shoes, I'd slam them a law suit. They can be so reckless at times, I wonder what they are thinking. Apologizing and compensation isn't really enough for me. Someone might get hurt.

Wow, that's terrible. I'm suprised she isn't screaming law suit, but, it's good that she isn't. McDonalds is very lucky that she isn't. So long as there is a policy change to prevent something like this from happening again, I would think that'd be enough done, especially since she was lucky enough to not get harmed.

hmmm I think I would probably have done the same, with what goes on today things have to be looked into but haveing said that accidents can happen anywhereand so long as evryone stayed cool about it and I hope she got a free voucher out of it...

I'd definitely have them checked out for any other potential safety/health issues they may have. I understand accidents happen, but that's a bit extreme. How can you make a sandwich which has something as large and hard as a razor, and not even notice?
If that were to happen to me, I'd probably end up chipping a tooth. Therefore, I'd expect to be compensated for damages.
Although, I don't really think "I'm sorry" and a refund are sufficient in this case.

Wow. That's crazy. I'm glad she wasn't hurt and at least she's not expecting a huge law suit or anything. I think I'd find it hard to say I just wanted an apology, even if it was an accident just because of how dangerous that is.

That's so awful! Good thing she was unharmed. Still, if that happened to me, I would have it reported to sanitation department or have it reported in the newspaper because that is negligence. It could happen again to somebody else if the fastfood branch wouldn't be reprimanded somehow. They have to be also inspected for other unhygienic or unsanitary practices. Of course, if something bad came out of it, like if I swallowed the razor, that would be a different story. A lawsuit will definitely be in order.

I know that while cooking i have dropped in an eggshell or found a hair, etc. There is no way to expect perfection, but a razor? Shouldn't for employee safety they have a box knife and not a plain razor. Gosh, that would be scarey. I wouldn't sue either, although the money would be great, but I would definitely expect an explanation and an apology as well. Thank God she wasn't injured.

That is outrageous. If I was that customer, I would definately sue, and I would expect the employye responsible be fired. There really isnt any excuse to be that careless in an enviorment that has food preperation going on. Imagine if she had swallowed the peice of razor, the damage done then. That was definately a careless and negligent act. I would have sued if that had been me.

I think that a lot of things seem to be happening in the last couple of years with fast food places. I think that if any of these stories about what has happened, I would think that this woman should be awarded money from a lawsuit instead of the people who say McDonalds made them fat or made them unhealthy, or even the person who sued them because they burned themselves with the coffee because they did not know it was going to be hot. I am very happy that she was not hurt. I am also glad that she is not like a lot of other people who would do anything for money. I would expect an apology and I don't think that I would ever eat there again.

yep exactly, i mean whta evr way it happened knowingly , unknowingly, they should apologize to her, as its their fault absolutely. Infact though as ist said it was acccident there, but actuallt fact cannot be neglected that with this accident anything could happen to that girl while having razor in mouth, then what would they have done???....they must say sorry to her.

I most certainly would want an appology from the company. The person managing the food, I would like an appology from too. Along with a new meal.
It is amazing and I was shocked the lady did not sue. Most people these days would job at that opportunity to get money.

I think I would handle it the same way IF I wasn't hurt and IF I knew that it really was an accident. I would hate to just take their word for it without it being thouroughly investigated and then someone else get hurt really bad. ya know? im sure there will be some major discipline going on in that McD's.

If my mouth had been cut up or my children's yes I would stick it to them. However, coming ou unscathed I'd be grateful and handle it the exsct way that she did. When I first read about this, I must admit I was really suspicious b/c of the old Wendy's chili w/afinger in it.
