How much do you save? Generally i feel a person should save at least 30% of his monthly income for his future. Spending everything is not good. You have to foresee and save for unforseen reasons. Of course enjoying life is good but it has a limit. These savings come in handy during the old age of the person and then the weightage of my words can be understood.

30% is a bit much to save - or even to be able to save. General rule of thumb is 15%. To be able to save 30% you would have to have a very good income and very few bills to pay every month.
