Reviewing the Patriot Post I came across this quote which I thought was quite thought provoking. One of the other things that amazes me, in all of my years in school, including the years in catholic school, I never recall hearing any famous quotes from history that pointed toward the spiritual condition of those that I studied.
We hear plenty of secular humanist credo afficianado's, but their hidden agenda makes it virtually impossible for people to realize that they are being indoctrinated...well, I digress, my apologies, back to the quote.
"My religious belief teaches me to feel as safe in battle as in bed. God has fixed the time for my death. I do not concern myself about that, but to be always ready, no matter when it may overtake me. That is the way all men should live, and then all would be equally brave" Thomas J. "Stonewall" Jackson.
To me this is not only honorable, but beatiful, brave and fair. He is not forcing any belief on anyone. He is merely exercising HIS personal right to free speech and to what he believes in. For me, as a teacher in a state school (public school) I would not be allowed to make this statement.
Where have our freedoms gone?

I think the ironic thing is that Stonewall was killed by friendly fire coming back to camp on his horse.
