I just knew I was going to have a boy (which I did) so I already had in my mind that I wanted Peter Rabbit things for him. I went to the store and found a peter rabbit story telling stuff animal with a book in his hands, then I bought one of those very soft green blankets with Peter Rabbit on it. Then I found the most adorable footy out fits for newborns that had ear on the feet! Had to buy that. I was sooooo happy.

I do remember that actually! I went and bought him a couple of the softest onsie outfits from BabyGap and a really soft blanket with stars on it from there, too. The material at BabyGap is the softest I've ever felt, and you can get great deals on the clearance rack!

The weekend I found out I was expecting I bought a tiny little onesie with blue and red bones all over it and a little puppy in a dog house. We didn't even know if it was a boy or a girl yet, but that little outfit just jumped out at me. He never even got to wear it by the way. First he was way too tiny, and by the time he was big enough, it was too cold to wear it, and now he is a chunky little thing, so it won't fit when it gets warm again. It is packed away for safekeeping though. It will always remind me of the warm, scared, excited feeling that came with finding out he was coming.

The first thing that I bought for both of my daughter's was a pair of cute little fuzzy socks. It was only something small because I was worried about the 3 month mark and didn't want to 'curse' the pregnancy by going out and buying alot for them.

I'm not sure if I can remember the first thing I bought when I found out that I was pregnant but my first child was born in November and I remember the first thing I bought her for xmas that year....it was a yellow toy shaped like a pram the handle of the pram had coloured beads that rattled and when it was shaked it also made a squeaking sound. She loved it and maybe my grand children will one day too.

I bought a onesie that said Mommy's little Baby. He only wore it once or twice, but it was just the impact of realizing that I was going to be that mommy.
