I have shifted and rented a house since last almost 4 months, when I made the contract with the owner I was not told anything. But after that the Owners wife told us that you can not cook Fish in the house as her son gets Nausea and Vomiting, I am paying a good amount to the owner. Should such restrictions should be put once you make the contract? I love eating fish but unable to do so now!

Find other ways to cook your fish. There may onyl be certian ways the kids gets sick by. Personally, I think this is an excuse to not have the home smell like fish. How is the owners kid even smelling something that you are cooking? I would definately speak to the owner - preferably not with his wife around - and find out what is really going on.

Well, i've never heard of such a thing in my life, but if that is the only problem you have with living there maybe if you want fish you could eat it at a resteraunt, or cook at a friends house so that you dont bother the son. i think they just dont like the smell. i never seena nyone get sick from the smell of a food before. i live ina rented house too and the lady above me cooks fish often, i life fish, but it doesn't smell real great. i dunno it only lasts while she's cooking, i tend to either cook something else in my house to mask the smell or go out for a walk!

Ask the owner about the restriction. Ask the son as well. I've never heard of a condition like that. Since you are paying good money you can at least ask why. If they still say no then maybe you can compromise. Maybe you can cook fish when their son is not in the house.
