I personally love it. Sometimes it gets confusing though when a guy is too chivalrous. They can sometimes be misconstrued as signs of affection I think.

I know a lot of women who are teaching this age old art to their sons, raising them to be chivalric, so perhaps it's a dying thing, but maybe it's making a comeback. Personally, I think it's a nice gesture on the man's part if it's sincere.
