Hi All! This is the first discussion initiated by me on mylot and I'm not sure whether I am touching a very sentimental issue. The point here is not to offend anyone but to present our innerself and stop behaving like hypocrites.
At this point of time in life we see that most of the countries of the world are proclaiming as secular states but when we actually analyze world history, we feel that no matter what the reasons have been "in front of uthe public" for so many wars fought in the past and present, the basis of religious hatred has always been an integral part of it.
The hatred between the Christians and the Jews,Jews and Muslims, Muslims and Christians, the idol worshippers and the rest, and so on and so forth.
As I've grown up in a Secular State, I've felt what lies beneath, the fact that religion does play a big role in politics and when I enlarge my canvas I could see that the whole world and world politics is bound by religious flares.
However we say we are Secular, the point remains "are we actually secular from our heart and soul?"Kindly comment...
