Women, does your husband leave the decorating of your house to you?

My husband has never cared how I fixed up my house. He has never said anything about the style of furniture or the colors that I choose. He has always seem to like what I have done. I am really into the old world nautical, and my favorite color is blue, so that may be why. I do not paint with any colors other than blues, creams and whites, and I pull color into the room through the paintings of oceans and small decor items.
I have a friend I have known for over 25 years, and he has always been very neat and conservative in his tastes. He married a woman who decorates in a hodge-podge kind of way and there is a different theme in every room. That does not bother me as much. It is just the themes, roses in their bedroom, care bears in the kitchen and dining room, etc. I know my friend is uncomfortable at home. He even told me that his wife is making him crazy, there is too much clutter in the house. This guy rides a harley, he has a problem with the care bears.
Do you take your husbands tastes into consideration when decorating?

my husband will do the painting and the manual work but i mostly deecide the colour scheme and he goes along with it.i dont like clutter either and my house is p[ainted in earthy colours. burnt oranges , golds and varnished floors and doors. i went through a blue phase in my last house and i decided on a change when we moved. i loved the blue but found it a cold colour.i had it teamed with black furniture and occasional lemon things . now i love the earthy colours but being a true gemini i could change my mind again.

I usually design the decorating in our house. But if my husband is in good condition, he also does his own decorating. Males do have a "girl side" when it comes to "his" property. Well...it's more on the male beuatification. :)
