If God had meant for us to fly, He would have given us wings. So stop this heresy and boycott air travel. Aircraft are the invention of Satan to lure us into the flames of eternal hell. Those who have flown can still be redeemed by the love of Our Lord, but please stop flying while your soul can still be saved!

Joke or no joke I feel the same way! LOL
I have a fear of putting myself into something man made, wieghting a few tons and launching myself into the air! They say air travel is safer than riding in a car, bah! I have been in car wreckes yet my body parts remained attached, how many plane crash victims can say that, none!
As for it being an invention created by Satan...I can see that point. :-)

Well, the last time I was on an airplane was 1983. I would much rather drive anyway. I guess I have been boycotting flying in a way. For me, I think getting there is all the fun. The roads that you travel make the trip. They can be more fun than the destination. The birds have it right, the airlines don't. The birds often stop along the way and enjoy the journey that much more.

When I first read this, my thought was: "well, myLot has finally pushed Thomas over the edge". You had me going there for a moment. Actually I was happy to scroll down and see the "just joking" at the bottom. There might be a little truth in this, but only so far as to say it just isn't natural for us to be flying at 30,000 feet, although one could argue that it's not natural for us to be traveling at 65mph. in a vehicle that has 4 wheels, either... God gave us the intellect and creativity to solve our travel problems. Now He has to give us the common sense to realize what we are doing to the environment and the knowledge and ambition to care enough about it to resolve it. He made this planet, and it's up to the humans to preserve it for future generations.

That was rather clever - and a great illustration of perverting "divinely inspired logic" be it the Bible, or the Koran or the sayings of The Great Gatsby.
However, I agree with one aspect of the luring to eternal hell. Each time a JumboJet goes up and stays in the air for 12 hours it punches a couple of holes into our Ozone Layer. Because 300 odd people felt cold in Minneapolis and could afford the lousy $700 to go to Tahiti and enjoy the sun.
We are depeleting our resources, burning fossil fuel at an alarming rate for something as trivial as flying potato chips half way across the world!
We buy toys from halfway across the world and ship them in huge vessels consuming more fossil fuel.
I wonder if there is some merit to the view that we are sowing the seeds of our own destruction. (And what or who inspires it).

And of course, if god didn't want us to fly, then he wouldn't have given us the brains to build planes!
I am not a religious person whatsoever, but I do have reasons to boycott air travel. Aircraft produce green house gases (namely H2O, NO2 and CO2) in vast quantities and leave them in layers of the atmosphere which are usually dry.

As I've heard just the other day (this is from a religion called Jehovah's Witness), it is not acceptable in their religion to even do something that would endager their lives. Life is god-given and so it should be treasured.
Does that explain why they WALK and go from door to door to "witness"?
I also wonder if any of them ever hopped on a plane to go somewhere...Flying, aside from it being a pleasure, can also kill when it gets into an accident.
LOL

Having to squeeze my 6 foot 2 inch body into a coach seat is indeed a Satanic act. Of course, the minute I buckle my seat belt and start loudly cursing Beelzebub, the flight attendants and air marshals rush toward me and quickly apply the hard restraints.
"Would you like a headset with your straightjacket, sir?"

hi .. i think air travel is the fastest as far as now consider.. so if a person is in a situvation that he has to leave r be at a place then he can travel only through air ... no other go...

Some people love flying, some hate it, A lot of people claim to have invented flying, even before the Wright brothers, I haven't seen Satan claiming to have invented it anywhere yet, or God either.
Does anyone know how much harm flying does to the environment anyway? Planes fly above 30,000 feet these days, could this be what harms the ozone layer? Pollution caused by planes is almost always minimised, but I read somewhere that Jumbo Jets flying from London to America cause more pollution per journey that all the passengers combined do with their cars for a year. So yes get out of your planes and walk, this will help save the planet (as well as your soul) and give you exercise as well.

Okay, you got me. Of course, air travel is one of the things contributing a lot to excessive carbon, but I don't think that's going to stop anyone.

LOL, I got scared, I needed an air plane to go from America to Italy. I wanna get married with an Italian girl someday.
Im fifteen.
If airplanes were boycotted I would have to go by airboat.
Not knowing when the food supply and water supply and oil will last.
I will have to peddle and the airboat will be slower.
