Today i got the results of my biopsy and it confirms cancer. So for heavens sake if you are going out in the sun especially with your children PLEASE put on sunscreen and a hat. When i was a young kid we never had it now i regret it .as next month i will be having a portion of my nose removed and then skin grafts done . I went to the dr two years ago concerned about a small mark that took ages to heal and it would itch and then break out .The dr thought nothing of it just told me to put an antibiotic cream on it it will be fine.HOW WRONG WAS HE.

i think sometimes doctors just don't know what there talking about and advise about creams and stuff, my grandad had cancer and he had lukemia since the age of 20 due to working in the sun, nobody told him he had cancer until 2005 and he has been in and out of hospital since he had cancer. now in 2005 when he fell ill that's when they told him he had lukemia too from that early age and he was shocked why nobody told him that, then after that they told him he would be lucky if he lived for another moneht and unfortunatley he never, he lasted 2 weks from the date they told him that! it's great that your advising people to be careful and im sorry to hear about that! doctors need to be careful sometimes!

I am so sorry about this, but I can tell you one thing friend, that is keep faith with you that you will recover as soon as possible and if you believe God this also encourage to live much stronger. You know one thing, canser is thing that western medicine cant recover but it has medicine that is our heart stongenest, think that you will recover this no matter what happend. listen to other people motivation thoughts also. ignore people who crying for you. If you can do meditation thats will help you to increse your health more than present, do youga and that will give you something ....unbeliveable thing. if you do these things I am 100% sure you will recover from the cancer. be strong. Good luck.

hope I wish you all the best as I have had spots in the past similar to what you have and had them "freezed" and have been fortunate that this worked. I have recently come to the conclusion that Drs. do not know everything and when in doubt get a 2nd. or even a 3rd. opinion as it can sometimes save your life. Good luck and hugs to you.

2 bad !! Cancer is really one ugly disease . I've witnessed people near to me, suffering from it . Again, it signifies that what wonders it can do to detect a tumour in its infancy, before it develops into a cancer . Regular visits to a Doctor can save lives . And it also brings to fore the recklessness of some cash-hungry doctors !! Bye ..

Hope, what can I say to you. thank you for sharing. Hun I am so, so sorry. VIRTUAL HUGS. Yes it is very regretable but try not to play the "What If I had done this or that!" or the "Why didn't I" games they will do you no good at all. I hope you have family to support you through this time. Skin Cancer is curable and they may be able to reconstruct your nose. Be well, make the decisions that are right for you and I will say prayers for you when I go to church tomorrow. Blessed Be.

Many thanks visitorinvasion as long as they remove it all then it should be ok .But i am worried as to what the end result will be and seeing that a large area has been effected .Since having the biopsy done it has grown considerably and i still do not have a date for the surgery which is very worring

I am very sorry to here that you have cancer. I hope that this will be the only procedure that will have to be done, and that this is the only spot that had cancer in it. I also had played outside for many summers while growing up, and of course with no sunscreen or a hat. But when I was growing up, there wasn't any sunscreen. The only products that were on the market, were sun tan lotions. Then for 2 years I worked for the local park district cutting grass in the summer, and had the best tan that I ever had. And of course, there still wasn't any sunscreen on the market. So far I have been lucky, but who is to say that it might not appear in the next few years. For now, you will be in my prayers, and that this is all that you will have to go through.

This will be the third one i have had removed but by far the most extensive and the first to need skin grafting .I check my skin very thorougherly now as i know what i`m looking for and unfortunately this will probably not be my last one but believe me i will not much around with a local dr again but will have regular check ups with the cancer people .They know exactly what they are looking for and have seen many different types
