why do kids nowadays seem to have plenty of money?

i was once in an upscale mall, inside a pricey boutique, trying to look for the perfect bday gift for my husband when a college student stepped in and started to look thru the display of expensive polo shirts. he was bringing a paper bag that bore the logo of a more expensive boutique in the mall. it was obviously newly bought and here he was, looking for another expensive item to buy. and this is not the only time that i noticed this. other times, i'd see college girls toting a lacoste bag. sometimes, it's high shool students wearing expensive sneakers. where do they get all that money, i wonder?
