I have done one yet but have it on my To Do List. So great for the post to get some ideas. Maybe we can all do it together? I like the weekend one, start out only a few days at a time. I don't want to shock my body too much otherwise I may never do it again. And as mentioned a detox should done regularly - every 3 months at least and monthly at best to give our bodies a good clean.
So I will get organized and report in when I've done it.

Hey!!!! I get the feeling you're delaying the obvious. LOL. I like food too much at the moment and I really need to psych myself into this. BUT I also want to lose weight so I WILL do this.
I gave up smoking in the blink of an eye - how hard can this be??????????

Yes I have, - I do it quite regularly, usually about every 3 months for a weekend. You are best off choosing a weekend or a Bank Holiday though, - it can make you feel pretty lousy for a day or so, and you shouldn't be rushing around too much at work or driving long distances. I try and choose a time when I'm going to be completely on my own, and for the first day I just drink water. I don't eat anything at all. If you get bored with the water you can flavour it with some pure lemon juice, but the idea is to completely purify your body. On the second day you will feel like s*** as you will have a headache from lack of coffee, tea, and other stimulants that we all have in our normal diet. But don't take any pills, just try and lie down, and rest a lot (thats why it's best to do it on a weekend!), and today you can drink pure fruit and vegetable juices. You might find orange juice is a bit too acidic, so try pomegranite or blueberry or cranberry juice, as they are all good for the kidneys and attack the "bad" bacteria inside us. Try and pamper yourself as much as possible........ lie in a long, hot bath with lavendar oil to relax you, read a trashy novel, or watch an old movie, - just give yoursef a lot of "me" time, as this is just as important as what you eat. The next day you can start eating again (hurray!), - but I try to keep it simple for the first day or so, or your body goes into "shcok" from the change. So just have wholemeal toast and fruit juice for breakhast or someting similar, and then salad, lean chicken, fish, that kind of thing. And try and drink decaf coffee and green tea too. The way I describe it probably sounds ghastly, but it does actually work to make you feel better. Good Luck!

I did a 30 day detox program a while back. It was basically a bunch of pills with all natural ingredients that you took every day for 30 days. I lost a bit of weight but didn't really feel any other effects. I can't remember the name of the program but I got it at a Whole Foods store.

i've not actually tried this, but i heard there is a good three day detoxing plan that beyonce knowles uses, it has something to do with a mixture of cayenne peppers, lime juice and honey, i don't know the exact specifics, but it's pretty popular and u'll easily find it on a net search, i think.
hope i helped, gina
