I was born in Peebles, Scotland (just south of Edinburgh), but have lived in Australia for a long time. My dad was a piper in the BlackWatch. I am still very pulled by everything Scottish - is there anyone out there from Scotland?

I am not from Scotland, but I do live there. I moved to the Highlands in 2001 to be with my hubby. He is from here. We married in Alaska and then I moved here. I really love it here. My grandfather was born in Dalkeith. I have found many cousins here that I didn't not know I had. I love it. It seems I have more relatives here in Scotland than I do in the States.

I was only ten when I left Scotland and we moved round a lot because my stepfather was in the Army. We finally settled in his hometown in Lancashire where I met my hubby, and later on we decided to emigrate to Oz for some adventure and a new life! I still have a lot of relatives in Scotland and have visited there over the years, and as much as I yearn for it, my life is here; Australia is a beautiful place to live. Do you miss the States?

I was born in Irvine, Ayrshire and live in Stewarton for the first eleven years of my life. It's sort of near Glasgow. I then moved to Singapore (visit Australia, lovely place, which part are you in?) and i'm now in the North of England in a little town called Alnwick. I've been to Peebles. :]

What a co-incidence - I also lived in Singapore for two years when I was still at school! We lived in Serangoon before moving into Changi Barracks. I now live on the Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia, ben here many years now and couldn't even contemplate living back in the UK. I lived in Burnley and Blackpool, Lancashire for a good many years before coming to Oz. Where is Alnwick near? I can't recall it.

I was born and raised in Linwood (just outside Paisley) and moved to Calgary, Canada when I was 19. Lived there for 17 years and am now in Suwanee,GA (metro Atlanta area). I am still a very proud Scotsman and always will be (still have a pretty thick accent too...my wife and kids seem to be the only ones who don't have a problem understanding me...LOL)

You would have thought you'd have lost your accent after all those years away from Scotland! Anyway, your wife and kids probably love it! Try to keep it - it makes you different from the rest!
