Shall Ganguly be given the captaincy? Justify.

It can be possible.

Now he is good performance in batting... let see his work.. and note some peoples not perform because of mental stress... dont give him more work... better avoid captaincy... he need to break so many records in batting... my choise leave him freely...

As we all know and all are proud that the Saurav(dada) had made a great come back and has definately lift the spirit of Indian cricket team. But still it would not be right to make him the captain just before a month to go for the world cup. But I am sure that dada will play a very crusial role not as a captain but as a senior player to guide the team.

I guess it would be better if is not the captain for the World Cup. It is a fact that the capital of the Indian team cannot perform very well in the long term and let me tell you the needs of of more as a player performing like what he is doing right now rather than the captain because if everything is going well and with the experience of the vice captain like sachin and also the captain has the option of consulting him so I don't think there is any requirement for him being the captain at all. Saurav Ganguly is much more needed is a good player is an opening batsmen and a part-time bowler more than the captain and I think a lot of it can somehow managed the captaincy in the World Cup. I would also like to add to the point that as the Australian team is now in a very bad form I think this is the best chance for the Indian team to capitalise and get the World Cup.

No i dont think the slectors should take a decision so quick...Rahul dravid has been performing well as a captain and is cool headed One of the reasons why ganguly was not selected in team was his individual performance Sourav ganguly was not poerforming well as a batsman when he was tha captain but rahul dravids batting has not been afected by the captaincy So i tthink ganguly should play like a batsman and rahul dravid should be the captain

Nodoubt Sourav is the best captain. But at present he is playing really well as a non-captain. So, why to disturb him?

A captain is only as good as his team. Dada was fortunate to have players of the caliber of sachin, dravid, dhoni, sehwag, kumble and harbajan in his time as captain. You can easily see the records for yourself to realise that the above players have contributed more as players than ganguly in our wins under ganguly. And our dada had lost an woeful 8 out of 9 cup finals in his "illustrious" career as captain. It is in cup finals where your captaining skills are assessed. To me, ganguly is one of the good players and a more aggressive captain india produced to this date. But the best is Kapil dev, not for winning the world cup, but for that blazing captain's knock of 175 not out and the astonishing catch to dismiss viv richards, leading by example. But make ganguly vice captain to utilize his rich experience.

I dont think that ganguly will be given the captaincy, because Dravid is doing quite good job and also without captaincy ganguly is playing well

ya he should be back as a captain and we all know why there is no need of justification i think is nt it?
