No, you cannot catch a mental health condition. You can catch a common cold, you can catch flu but you cannot catch a mental health condition.
There are 20 people in the room, someone sneezes and around 5 of the people in the room, may end up sneezing and may contract the infection that the person who sneezed sent around the room. IF there is no ventilation, the room, is stuff, and all the people in the room are students.
Students are notoriously run down, they work late, eat little or unhealthy fast foods, they play hard, and pack them all together in a lecture hall, with a student with a cold and they go down like nine pins.
There are 20 people in a room, one has a broken leg, no one else is going to get a broken leg, unless, they had to jump from a height to get to that room. Then about 10 people might have a broken leg, depending on the height and how they fall.
There are 20 people in a room, one has a mental health condition. Depression. The one suffering with depression, asks the person next to him for a pen, the one next to him hands him a pen. Each person is given a piece of paper, they have to write something on the paper and pass it around the room.
The person suffering from depression is not going to pass his depression onto the next person.
Finally
Twenty People are sitting in a room, out of know where a truck crashes through the wall. Killing 5 people. 15 people are shocked and traumatised.
Some talk it out, others do not some clam up.
Notice that each person had the potential to get killed.
EAch person had the potential to be shocked and traumatised
Each person has the potential to suffer Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
Hope this helps you to understand that Mental Health Conditions are not contagious but a life changing event or horrible trauma can cause any one person to be vulnerable to suffering from and mental health condition.

I believe that mental health conditions are, in fact, contagious, and I believe that you comparing mentality to that of a physical nature is very wrong indeed. I also believe that every human is on the edge of manifesting from 'mental health conditions', because that is the way of human nature. There is no such thing as a mentally stable human, and even if there were that possibility, I believe they would still have the same 'unarguable' mentality, because they envision something that doesn't exist: Perfection.
