why bood is red???????

why other animals have different colors of blood but humans have red one?

We actually have blue-greenish blood in our veins (look at them on your skin sometime, and see they are blue thru it). However, when air hits them (as in a sore or cut), it oxidizes the blood causing it to turn to red. A simple bio-chemistry effect.
