I heard that if you put your game system on the floor that has carpet this may cause the game system to not work. Is this true?

Static energy can cause it to explode, you can put it on wood, but don't put a game system on cement with a carpet, that would litteraly explode your system lol

Placing it on carpets that are furry (have hairs that stick up) can cause the game system to overheat. This is especially true of the ones with their air vents at the bottom. Since the hot air cannot easily escape, the unit overheats and then malfunctions.
