How Messy is your Computer Desk?

My desk, well actually it's our desk as we have two computers and the monitors are either end of a 1.5 metre worktop, is an absolute nightmare and covered in everything... bills, phones, address books, ashtrays, and who knows what else lol I do tidy it but it just seems that within a day or two it looks just as bad as it did to begin with.

Mine has stacks of stuff. REcipes, patterns, instructions. I have the phone book, old letters and bills on the printer. Before the keyboard is my handcream, lip gloss and butterfly waterglobe. I have a rock that is shaped like a dorsal fin and next to that is hand cleanser. There are 3 books of matches, in case I have to light one because of someone making wind. I have a purple butterfly pasted to the front of the desk. There is a plaque with my name on it that my son made for me when he was in the 8th grade (it also has a butterfly taped to it). OMG..there is a packet of flower seeds, a bracelet, and emery board. That is it, I think.

I find that usually the only time my computer desk tends to be messy is when we are ready to go to bed at night.. We then pile all of the things that we're laying on the bed on the computer desk & then things begin to collect. Sometimes we will leave cups or even receipts on our computer desk or even coasters & then by the time the morning rolls around.. It is rather messy & extremely difficult to clean.. I know that having to re-organize our computer desk can be rather irritating each day.. As sometimes it seems like our computer desk is getting more & more messy instead of getting cleaner. haha. I know that personally having to wake up to a computer desk that looks like a disaster zone.. Can make anyone feel some-what overwhelmed at first. Throughout the day though I will organize things on our computer desk.. And then I will end up using a cleaner to make the computer desk look a lot shinier. I know that personally I love seeing our computer desk all shiny as it makes me feel like I had accomplished something at the end of the day. And quite honestly I'd much rather have our computer desk be all neat, as well as organized.. Instead of looking at my computer desk & feeling like a hurricane had hit it. haha! In conclusion.. I know that personally I try to keep my computer desk well maintained.. As I find it so much easier to work if I keep it organized instead of allowing it to escalate in to a bigger mess then it needs to be. As I know when I allow our desk to be messy that I only begin to feel stressed out or over-whelmed.. And those two emotions mixed together can end up being rather dangerous in my opinion. haha. So I would much rather try to avoid this by trying to keep our computer desk cleaned, as well as organized. Instead of allowing our computer desk to turn in to a disaster zone, Thanks for allowing me to share! xx

I should have taken a picture of mine and uploaded it with this reponse just so you wouldn't feel so bad ...I have two desks right beside each other and they are a mess ,the one with the phone and fax and desk top is extremly a mess..the other just has a desk top so its not as bad ...Things just pile up some how ...lol

My computer desk is terrible, it has papers all over the place, kids toys, cups etc. The thing that really annoys me is, I can tidy the whole desk up and the next day it looks like I hadn't even touched it. Sometimes I just want to scream.

Mine is a mess! I think the girls thought my bills could be used as scratch paper cause they are written on. Have some crafts the girls made for me on my desk. Important papers that really should be filed. How the heck did my husband's after shave get on here??? He doesn't even use the computer. There is my pop bottle beside my water bottle. Dang now I have to clean it off*L*

no i dont have it as messy..i only have my phone and a couple of other files and documents and a gift given by my hubby ..that's it..u know iam very tidy!!

Mine is what I like to call an organized mess. It looks like a mess to everyone but me, because I know where everything is - so don't try to clean it - LOL!

My computer desk is messy. I have papers & magazines everywhere.

Mine is the same. I have papers and books everywhere. I clean it once a week but it gets messed up again.

Let see...I have lotsa CD and DVD lying around the desk, cell phones, scissors, chips, drinks, TV remote control, hair clips, duck tape, papers, sun protection lotion, after sun lotion, magazine, napkins....phew.....trust me, you are not the only one with messy desk. I have to start cleaning up by the way, otherwise I won't be able to find my laptop....

Mine is fairly messy, there are quite a few things that i like to keep to ahnd when computing that make the space look a bit messy, plus there are vatrious bits of paper i've written on and notes i've made etc. Right now i even have a candle burning near me!

I am getting extremely honest now. No papers, no CDs and my computer table is absolutely clean and no junk on top or below it. Everything is well organized because I hate dirt.

Actually my computer desk is CLEAN!!! I am a very very neat freak!! I love organization, everything has to have its own place. I wouldn't say that i am so neat to the point where i am OCD but i do love to keep organization at all times. I just cant work in a cluttered space and enviroment.
