I've never been a fan of the pun, but I'm guessing the best punchline would be something to do with their 'nuts'
I've always had a problem with people who think sarcasm is the lowest form of wit, and punning is the highest... sarcasm comes so naturally to me, and I happen to think I'm fairly witty...!
I'm wandering off the subject, but hang on... I'm picturing squirrels in ra-ra skirts.. what's that all about??

I had never heard that punning was the highest. Its certainly not the impression I get when I have made an hysterically funny pun and am being looked at disparagingly!!
Perhaps its a psychic impression you received in response to the question and that is, in fact, what squirrels do - little squirrel '80's nights dancing round their little handbags in leafy ra-ra's discussing nutty Rubiks cubes!!

hahah!! umm..well if they do it in private they no one really knows .,..right?? but these are my guesses..
they either stash there food..somewhere safe..but thats no good because they forget..but use theer smell sense to search and find them later..lol..then there is the other option..CHICKA CHICKA BOOM BOOM!!!!!HAHAH!! where they make ohh sweet lovin!!! lol!but thats all i gots!!! :)
