I dust my Eleanor, who has very sensitive skin being a white dog and all, with "Sevin" dust. Find it in the garden section at Wal-Mart or hardware store. Dust them down and the area they sleep in. The repeat in a week. Should take care of it. Otherwise, get them a prescription of program. The tablet variety.

if you want a quick, effective and simple solution then keep neem tree leaves in every corner of the house and give your dog a bath with pure neem soap/shampoo and yes give him one pod of garlic everyday and see the ticks, fleas etc vanishhh..

A little garlic might not harm a dog but too much would be toxic, given the fact that garlic is an herb and a dog is a carnivore not an omnivore it would be hard for a dog to digest.

Here's one remedy, I am going to keep searching for more remedies and I will let you know. Good Luck!
Hi For dogs who have a flea and tick problem.I gave this before and I will give it again. Stash Earl Grey Tea. Sprinkle in all place and under furniture. Use cedar cips all over too.Cut up a tick collar and use in places even where dogs sleep. wash dogs with avon so soft every week. Give them yeast tablets and apple cider vinegar in water.(atleast twice a day) Sprinkle all places with salt and borax powder and vacumme clean everyday using salt in the vacumme. NOW FOR FLIES! Mix: 2cups of AC vinegar, 1cup of avon so soft, 1cup water, 1 tblspoon of Eucalyptus oil, 1 tblspoon of citronella. Mix all in a spray bottle and spray your dog with it.Gently wipe its ears thrice in a day and do it for atleast a week or more. Tea tree oil also can be used to wipe the ears if its bleeding. Using this spray will ward off the flies. keep a cup of any sweet in a corner and when flies sit on it use a hairspray to kill them. Hope your dogs will get well soon it will if you do this .

Be very careful about this. If you all have sensitive skin, the best thing is aloe vera, because it helps the blood operate. Vitamin E cream, and some of the "soothing balm" lotions are also pretty trustworthy.
Do not, whatever you do, experiment with anything too drastic. You can cause infections, and do some real damage. The kids in particular are vulnerable to anything which either dries the skin too much, or makes it too oily. Deposits can build up under things like that, and they make acne look like fun.
If you're having real problems, it's better to ask a GP or a dermatologist.

Neem flea spray is probably the best thing you can get for a sensitive skin. You can visit www.indipets.com/products/neemfleaspray.asp there is good literature about dog flea and itches
