Where to advertise for more referrals?

After more than 5 weeks in mylot, I still have only 2 inactive referrals. And they are domestic breed. I am looking or rather hunting for global referrals for mylot. Can anyone suggest some sites or ways I can go about it?
Where are sites you advertise in? What sort of ways you find most effective in attracting referrals?

This is a great puzzle. Even i have only 3 the reason nobody wants to toil. they want easy money or simply moire ambitious. But some are having hundreds of referrals. I do not know whether they are all active.
One good idea would be to spread a word of your blog and exhibit the referaals with your payment proof. other sites do not accept referrals in articles or write ups . I have tried and they have rejected.

I'll never give up trying. When the going gets tough, then the tough got to get going. You members have been a wonderful lot. The advice I received from different ones enable me to look at different angles of getting referrals. More ideas are always welcome. The end result is I want to have more and more referrals.

You could try message boards. Simply asking/telling your friends about mylot. Or use the signature part of your e-mails to help spread the word.

I have tried this and did not have much success yet. Do you have any other methods too? Hope all methods tried will bear fruits. Still not giving up at all.
