I fear for my best friend right now. She is a nice girl with a college degree and a wonderful job. She is intelligent, bubbly, and so much fun to be around! I love her like she is my sister.
However, she has been acting in ways that I feel are unhealthy for her. She recently broke up with her fiance of four years, and since then she has gone on a dating binge. She has jumped from guy to guy to guy in a matter of days! I don't think she has given herself time to heal from the breakup. She's been involved with around 4 guys since they broke up, and that was less than two months ago!!
Now she is meeting men off the internet that she barely knows. That scares me because I am so concerned for her safety.
I feel that she is moving too fast and is just trying to find a relationship. She told me she doesn't know how to be single. She is such a wonderful person though, and I tell her to be paitent and she'll find what she wants. Any man would be lucky to have her, but I feel she's going after all the wrong guys.
What do you think? How do I help her? Have you been in a situation like this?

She does need to take the time to heal. She can't just be fresh out fo a relationship & straight into another one, as unless the new "other half" knows & understands this, it would be a detriment to the development of the new relationship, or it will completely destroy it, compounding on things. It's like she's trying to avoid facing the part when she needs to just sit down & have a good cry. Who was it that broke it off, was it him? or your friend? If it was he who broke it off, yeah - it is a lot more painful for her.
I don't mean to scare you further, but her avoiding the emotional pain will cause things to catch up to her.

She broke up with him out of nowhere. She just dumped him and never explained to him or any of her friends why.
I know exactly what you mean. She's harming herself and she doesn't even realize it. I've been in her shoes, and I know it can catch up to you years or even months down the road.
Thanks for your input.
