We are getting hit by tornadoes . . .

A tornado ripped through a town just north of us at 4 AM, reports say that 14 people were killed, and we have tornado warnings popping up all around us here in Central Florida.
I moved her from Oklahoma. I have been experiencing tornadoes my whole life. Has anyone here on mylot lived through a tornado?

My thoughts are with you, I am here in Ga but I have a great uncle in ponce inlet near daytona. I made sure he was ok.
I have lived thru a tornado around 93-94..luckily my house and neighborhood was spared but I could hear it,and it does sound exactly like a train! Prayers for your state! My thoughts are with you all

I lived with tornados happening all the time up in Michigan. We had several come towards our house and thankfully decided to turn in other directions. I was so glad we had a basement. Then we moved to Florida, where tornados happen but there are no basements to hide in. I miss basements. Last night though I knew it was tornado weather. I kept expecting to hear that we were under a watch or warning but nothing came on the channels we were watching. I'm not surprised that there were some. I just wish that deaths weren't involved.

We moved to Georgia a little over 3 years ago, and it's the first time that we've been really close to any kind of tornado activity. Haven't had one touch down in our area yet, but was watching the news one night and they said that everyone in our county should find an interior room in the house immediately...pretty scary stuff, luckily it passed without coming near us
