I am running Windows XP Professional right now and I know that Windows Vista's new interface rocks, but the question is, will it be worth it to upgrade?

I think it would be better to wait at least 6 months more before considering switching to vista. Any new OS especially one by microsoft is bound to have a lot of bugs and security holes. Also, waiting a little will make sure that new drivers come out for legacy apps and hardware. I think 6 months would be enough time for them to fix/patch the biggest bugs of a newly released OS.

Well its a resource hog..so don't upgrade if ur computer is slow..and moreover i'd suggest that just wait for some time so that softwares can be made compatible to it. I've given my PC a vista look, Welcome screen, sounds, Icons, those tranparent windows and transparent taskbar. Just ask me how to do that...

if you upgrade to vista... you need to upgrade your hardware too in order to meet the minimun specs of vista. that would mean more expenses dear. and as i read your previous posts, you're planning a wedding right? so i suggest stick with xp and save up your money to your wedding fund. cheers! =)
