Preparing for exams, according to my observation, depends on the needs and the capacity of the person to study. In my case, I have noticed that I am a great crammer. I'm not really a fast learner but I have an adrenaline surge the day before the exams. Everything I read simply just gets through so fast! I don't even experience mental block from studying the entire night (with only 1 or 2 hours of sleep). My tip for you is this: Assess if you're a crammer or not; if you are getting good scores through cramming then there's no problem (like in my case). If you're a crammer and it seems to not work out, then you need to start reading little by little every night even if the exams are still not near. Then every weekend, just read through the things AGAIN. You will feel more relaxed this way and less stressed because you're just doing 'reading' (just like reading a book you like) and not 'studying.' Hope I helped you out.

when i was still studying, i study my subjects prior to the day of my exams. you should not study on the day of the exam coz that's the reason why some students experience mental block.
