Which computer language is the best- C or java ?

i feel java got many more in it...so java is best

java is a great language but nothing compares to c. c is a c is c is a c.......,, java is offshoot of c and c++, so c is a parent ... and without it java would not be there .. i am a java programmer but i love to work on c...

Every language has its own features. We can say best is this one. It depends on the usage means which language is fullfill your requirements that is best. If one is best language and it doesnt met your criteria then you said that what is that language being so powerful but it doesnt support my requirements. So we cant judge which one is best. Every one has its own stand and value in market.

c is good for programming & java is for games . its your option to choose any one

C is the start to begin journey ! then you will require OOPS concepts or C++ to get into the java ! You basics and funda should be clear before learning java ! java is indeed a awesome plateform ! but now a days demand is of .NET , just consult and make choice !

I think C has a very great and efficint history..but as far as java is concerned its more object oriented and easily applicable in any enterprise..
