If myLot didn't pay, would you still post?

It's easy to get the impressions that the only reason people post here is for the money. But it's not really that great a way to earn money, if you value your time, so there has to be another reason. I enjoy helping people out with information they're asking for. Why are you here?

with or without pay, we will always paste on this website. mylot is more of a family without borders and a home for the helpless. this is the only way we can make our world a better place by touching a life and helping people who are in need. Our desire here should go beyound money and concentrate on giving a helping hand.

i joined mylot because they pay, but it is so much more than that, it is also a forum for the exchange of ideas and this is equally as valuable to me. I think if it did not pay i would however lose interest quite quickly

Well I think the entire site would be much different if it wasn't a paying site so I am not sure what it would be like. I belong to lots of other forums that don't pay so if the content and people were good I still be here.

You're right, WebMann. I think a lot of people would drop out because they're only interested in the money. I also participate on sites where there's no pay. I'd probably participate less here, but mabey not. If everybody that just wanted the money left, then it would be easier to find interesting people and discussions.

I started here for the money, but you're right it doesn't pay a lot. I enjoy reading the discussions and replying as best I can if I think I have anything worthwhile to say, however I don't really think I would stay here if they suddenly stopped paying, at least I wouldnt' spend the same amount of time here. I would probably occasionally drop in to see what was up and how people were doing, but I think I'd spend more time looking for more sites where I could make a little bit of pocket change. That's really all we make here anyway, pocket change, lol.

I originally found the website because of an add I saw on my myspace about earning extra money. After signing up and reading through the discussions it was obvious that you wouldn't get rich here, that you couldn't even make a living but I decide to see why others were here and soon found out. It is fun, it is fun to give advise, my opinion, suggestions what ever you want to call it and for my reward they put money aside for me. I'm having a great time and hope that mylot is here to stay. Good luck to you here at mylot!

There are many forums on the internet where people post very actively without any financial incentives. So, I guess that there will still be people posting here, but many others will just shy away.
I also agree that people who are posting for money are bit unrealistic. It is nice to get paid 60$ a month, like some members here. Though, I never read that somebody is making a living from Mylot. Some members state that they make 50 cents, by spending more than 2 hours a day posting, that's not much. Nobody will accept a job that pays 25 cents per hour, I guess.
This site mainly allows me to practice writing, and once in a while I find some interesting discussions here. Also, I like helping people when they have computer problems.

Well yes money is also the reason for posting here.I have been paid for this. But you will experience your self that money is not the sole criteria for posting here. You learn new experience and come across different people. You share and listen to others.

Of course I will still post for discussions being posted. I learned a lot from MyLot so whether they would pay for my post or not. I am also enjoying from meeting new friends here. Im also happy sharing new ideas to this site.

If myLot didn't pay then I probably wouldn't have signed up in the first place, but now that I have, I think I probably would still post, just not as much. I too like offering my advice on various issues and to be honest you don't really earn a lot on here but it all helps
