How do I get to outer space?

How do I qualify to be an astronaut? Do I have to have 3-4 different doctor's hats in Medicin, Physics or similar Do I have to be a former fighter pilot? Do I have to be a billionair? Do I have to be friends with George W Bush? Well, I guess it is not that simple.. The reason why I start this discussion is that I would like to know what happens with the space industry in, let's say 10-15 years? Will it be possible for us normal people to go to outer space for a quick look? Sure we will have to pay a buck or two, but not the millions of dollars that it costs today? Maybe someone can build a tourist centre on the space station where we can go on guided tours etc... This day will surely come, but when? 10 years? 50 years? Looking forward to your opinios about this
