how come yang always get great insights from powerful doctors like burke, chief and last night Ellis Grey. That is no way fair to the show's supposed star in Meredith!!!

It has to do with the issues each one is dealing with. Meredith is the lead (although this show is an ensemble) but her story arc has never been primarily about being a great doctor. It's been about being a very messed up person, trying to fix herself. So, she gets focus on her dad walking out, her mother being judgemental when she was healthy, plus the Alzheimers on top of that. And, Meredith gets the "romantic" stories.
Christina has always been about learning that there's more than just being a great doctor.
And, most important, I think that the writers do believe that the best, most important stories are Meredith's. They see the medical stories and the professional ones as secondary to what Meredith deals with. I think they might be surprised to think that some audience members might actually believe Christina is getting better stories.
