No Tailgating at the Super Bowl?

It may just be me, but tailgating is part of the Super Bowl experience. When I heard on the news last night that tailgating was not only banned from the stadium, but also banned within a 1 mile radius, I was shocked. I know they are banning tailgating because of fear of terrorist attack, but why not screen everyone before they enter the stadium parking lot? Search cars, etc? They should be doing this anyway. What do you all think? Should tailgating be allowed at the Super Bowl?

If they tried to search every person and car before it entered the stadium parking lot, the roads would be backed up for miles. Every van, car, trunk, barbecue grill, cooler, etc. would have to be searched.

True, but as a die hard football fan it just seems wrong to take away tailgating.

It seems like this should be aloud. When you think of super bowl you think of tailgating. lol.. I can see their reason, but it still is not fair. lol
