Help Really Scared!!

I just got my result's from my MRI today from the orthopedic Dr. The finding's were as follow's. Mild spondylosis with right paracentral disc protrusion at the T7-8 & bulges T10-11 & T11-12.The lumbar finding's were as follow. Disc desiccation and narrowing L1-2. at L1-2 there is disc bulge. Annular bulging is present at the L3-4 level. The ortho said for the first finding's that he feel's surgery should be done. They are sending me to a Nerosurgeon on the 20th. PLEASE PLEASE anyone out there that could explain this better to me and possible give me some advice on what they would do I sure would like to hear from you!!

Well, I'd say now you know why yourback hurts so much! you havedamaged your back to an extent that the only way to make things better is surgery. Sorry, I'm not sure exactly what it means, but the surgery is done every day, and nearly everyone gets better. Those that don't don'teget any worse. Ask your surgeon exactly what he is going to do, and he will tell you.
