Has anyone ever tried selling and network marketing to make money?

Something akin to Mary Kay - I recently started trying to make some extra spending cash by selling products that I already buy, and setting up a website to see if my friends and folks in my network would be interested. I'm not a pushy sales type, and even have a website, so people can buy if and when they feel like it.
Have any of you ever tried this and what did you find to help you be successful (if anything)
PLEASE DO NOT POST IF YOU ARE JUST GOING TO BE NEGATIVE OR TELL ME I AM WASTING MY TIME - IT'S MY TIME TO WASTE IF I CHOOSE, and i JUST wanted to give this a try for a year to see how it turned out.

Wishing you much luck in your new venture. I counsel you to be sure this is what you like to do and are willing to invest the time and perhaps some money into it. Treat it like a real job and I bet it will reward you. Pay attention to and ask for feedback if the client are willing and it will help you to shape your business. Keep us posted, I for one will root for you!

Thanks for the response! I do plan on putting in some hard work to make it happen, and I guess I really need a positive attitude and to be optimistic about it! I have heard so many negative things about doing MLM marketing...

You should do a virtual business launch, if you haven't already. Your upline may have a way they like to do this. If not, I would be happy to help you. A postive attitude is a must. There will be a lot of people that don't believe in mlm~ Don't let them steal your dreams. If you don't believe in yourself and your business no one else will either. Best wishes!
