The only lie i've told to my wife was one which protected her.
Personally i hate liars, so i try not to lie and i'm not saying i'm perfect far from that but i won't do this unless it's to protect someone elses feelings etc.

According to me one of the important pillars of love is honesty. i would follow the saying that honesty is the best policy. But if a situation occurs where you want to save your relationship by telling a lie, small or big, then go ahead and say it. but, NEVER let your beloved find out what was the truth later on. even telling yourself the truth later in life thinking it wont affect then will break the trust. building back this pillar is can be time-taking and may also cost your relationship!
