Have you bought any of the Doctor Who DVD's?

Here in the UK we are a bit ahead of the US. We have just had "New Beginnings" which featured the three stories "The Keeper of Traken" "Logopolis" and "Castrovalva".
In April we are due to get Survival.
Have you bought any Doctor Who DVD's, and if so, what did you think of them?

I have a couple in my dvd collection, mainly the ones with the Cybermen and The Daleks, but the old ones with Peter Davison and Sylvester McCoy as the doctor. I can't stand the new series, I don't like either Christopher Eccleston or David Tennant I feel they have ruined the series, so I don't watch the current Dr Who series.

I think the New Series is trying to appeal to a mass audience, as that is the only way the BBC could justify spending that much tax payer's money on it. In consideration of that, it can only be considered a success, but I agree with you.
As a sci-fi fan, I much prefer the classic series.

this feels like the good old days of people writing into Doctor Who magazine back when the programme was off the air and it felt like it would never come back, complaining about how Colin Baker and Sylvester McCoy has destroyed it. or a bit later how the Paul McGann TV movie wasn't proper Doctor Who.

No I havne't. I did look at them though it was just not in the budget right now for it. Maybe some time in the future I can. I have enjoyed the show and I'm looking forward to the next season starting here in the US.

Thanks for your reply.
It is one of the few series that has been released as individual stories, rather than season sets (apart from the New 2005/6 series that is).
Do you feel that put you off aswell, or is it purely that you have higher DVD priorities!
