Vanishing Point : Barry Newman stars as Kowalski, the last American hero. He's the lone stranger - a modern cowboy in a white Dodge Challenger who bets he can drive from Denver to San Francisco in fifteen hours. Loaded with amphetamines and a full tank of gas, he takes to the open highway.
Acclaimed as a high-speed adventure and a document of the times, Vanishing Point presents a fascinating collection of counterculture characters.
Along the road, Kowalski meets an old prospector, a snake worshipper, faith healer, a white medicine man, a nude woman on a motorcycle, and Super Soul (Cleavon Little), a blind DJ who talks to him on the air and turns him into an instant cult figure.
I love this movie.

Yes, i remember this one. Great ol' movie this one. A real cult classic car movie. It has been years since seeing this movie. I have seen the remake Vanishing Point & also liked it. I particularly like all the muscle cars in the remade version. The original is definitely the best though! Well worth getting hold of a copy & seeing if you've never had the privelidge.
