Hi, I was wondering what kind of music helps you concentrate when you have to work or study. I know that classical or jazz is meant to be better than pop music with words. But does anyone have any specific pieces or artists to recommend? I find that if I listen to music with words, it doesn't work because I end up singing along and get distracted. Do other people find this, or are there certain lyrics that actually HELP you concentrate? Intriguing!

Jazz music and slowjams really helps me concentrate. But there are times when loud music does the trick. I really am moody when it comes to music. =) But as long as I enjoy the song, whatever genre it may be, I could concentrate better. =)

I listen to metal. The lyrics are usually difficult to understand, so that makes it impossible to sing along with. Also, I listen to music in other languages, like swedish and finnish and german. That way I really can't sing along.

Don't you find metal a bit frenetic? Not very restful. Music in other languages is a great idea, thanks. Thank you for your comment, I have rated you my best response.
